About
For more than 60 years, The Newfoundland and Labrador Outfitters Association has been the voice of the hunting and angling tourism industry in this province. We are a not-for-profit business organization of approximately 145 Outfitter Members and several Associate Members who support and supply our industry.
We exist to foster positive working relationships with government departments and other organizations that have an impact on hunting, fishing, tourism and our natural environment.
We also assist and inform our members as they work to better their operations and grow their businesses. We are ambassadors for them around the world and champions of them here at home.
About Outfitting in Newfoundland and Labrador
Outfitting is the original tourism industry in Newfoundland and Labrador. Long before kitchen parties and Screech-ins, there were expert fishing guides and wilderness adventurers bringing visitors to the wildest corners of this vast place. Today, Outfitting contributes 50 million dollars to our annual provincial GDP, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The broader economic impact of hunting and angling tourism supports our local communities and rural way of life. The NLOA and our members continually endeavour to support our communities while we provide our visitors with exceptional experiences in a spirit of true conservation.

Our members also offer other activities such as snowmobile and ATV tours as well as guided hikes and boat tours.
